Two courts in the Blackwater Valley

Mallow Golf Club has two squash courts at the club in Ballyellis, on the edge of Mallow town. Court time is free for members, and visitors can play by arrangement for €10 per court-hour. To book, call +353 22 21145 and choose ext 3 for the office.

The courts sit alongside four floodlit all-weather tennis courts, a snooker room and the clubhouse bar and restaurant, so there is somewhere to sit down afterwards. Squash is part of the racquets side of the club and is run together with the tennis section.

Leagues, coaching & club nights

Squash at Mallow is social first: a weekly club night, an internal box league and coaching when there is demand. Dates are set each autumn, so email the racquets club for the current programme.

  • Club night — Thursday evenings from 7pm, October to April. Turn up and play; all standards welcome.
  • Box league — a monthly internal ladder for members who want regular competitive games.
  • Coaching — group sessions for adults and juniors, arranged on demand. Ask at the office or email the racquets club.

New to squash?

Club night is the easiest way in. Come along, borrow a partner and get a game; nobody needs a ranking or a regular opponent to start. Juniors are welcome with an adult member.

If you already play, the box league keeps a steady supply of matches through the winter.
