Societies are welcome at Mallow Golf Club Monday to Friday, and at weekends from March to October, for groups of 12 or more. Packages start from €30 per person for golf only, or from €38 per person with food in the clubhouse afterwards.
Mallow is an 18-hole, par 72 parkland course in north Cork, about 30 minutes from Cork city on the N20. Societies get a reserved block of tee times, a course that is fair to every handicap, and a clubhouse bar and restaurant with a balcony over the 18th green for the presentation afterwards.
Choose a golf-only day or add soup and sandwiches, a main course or dinner. The pro shop looks after check-in and hire on the day, and the office confirms your booking and catering in advance.
| Package | What you get | Per person |
|---|---|---|
| Golf only | 18 holes on a reserved timesheet | €30 |
| Golf + soup & sandwiches | 18 holes, then soup and sandwiches in the clubhouse | €38 |
| Golf + main course | 18 holes, then a main course from the society menu | €45 |
| Golf + dinner | 18 holes, then a two-course dinner in the restaurant | €55 |
Prices are per person for groups of 12 or more. Weekend and bank-holiday dates may carry a small supplement, confirmed when you book. The bar and restaurant keep normal licensing hours from 1 March to 31 October; from 1 November to 28 February the clubhouse closes at 6pm, so winter societies should plan an earlier meal. Playing as visitors rather than a society? See green fees.
Hire on the day: buggy €40, electric trolley €15, pull trolley €4, set of clubs €20. Buggies are limited, so reserve them with the pro shop in advance.

Pro shop: extension 2, open 7 days (9.00–16.30 in winter, 8.00–18.00 in summer). Office: extension 3.
Mallow has been called Munster's hidden gem, and societies tend to find out why on the first visit. The course was laid out by J. D. Harris on rolling parkland above the River Blackwater, and it plays honestly: fairways are generous enough for the higher handicaps, while the greens, rated among the best in Munster, reward the players who can read a putt.
The short holes are the talking point. Mallow's par 3s are among the strongest in the province, and they decide more society prizes than the long holes do. Add a mature tree-lined setting, a course open from 8am to dusk, and a clubhouse where the whole group can sit down together, and you have a day that is easy to organise and easy to enjoy.

Company outings and charity classics are welcome on the same terms as societies, with the same packages and a single invoice for the group. A scramble or team Stableford keeps the pace of play moving and gives every guest a stake in the result, and the clubhouse handles the meal and prize presentation afterwards.
Charity organisers can bring their own sponsors and raffles, and the office will help with a timesheet that suits a shotgun or staggered start. Shotgun starts are possible for larger groups on weekdays, subject to the club's fixture list. Tell us the purpose of the day when you enquire and we will shape the format around it.

Mallow railway station is on the Cork–Dublin and Cork–Tralee lines and is about 5 minutes from the club by taxi, so a society can travel by train and share cars from the station. Parking at the club is free. Full directions are on the contact page.
Send the date, numbers and catering choice and the office will come back with availability.
